生姜茶(せんがんちゃ)

We made 500 bottles of Sengancha (Ginger Syrup) today. Our Sengancha is made to a traditional Korean recipe that combines ginger, Asian pears, and sugar into a wonderful syrup. Our Sengancha can be diluted with hot water to make tea, soda water to make ginger ale, any number of cocktails but best of all poured directly over ice cream or pancakes.

Ginger, as I'm sure you are aware, has numerous health benefits. What you may not know is that Asian pears are an important resource in traditional 'oriental' medicine. This recipe is not merely a luxurious addition to the larder but a decidedly functional food.

Our Sengancha will be available from early next month. Keep an eye out here for details on prices and places to buy.
