Ginger!

It's that time of year again and boy, do we have ginger!

This year we planted two varieties of ginger. The renowned "Ryoma"

from Kochi Pref. and "Sanshu", an old and traditional variety that is physically small but intensely flavoursome. Most Japanese food that calls for ginger was created using this variety back in the day.

Most of our ginger will be going into a line of new ginger based products that we'll be unveiling shortly. Stay tuned for that announcement. We have a little available for sale on our page at 食べチョク, go have a look!
